Muito além de fonte de conhecimento, a educação é importante instrumento de transformação da sociedade. Sempre defendi essa bandeira e continuarei defendendo
Nos últimos meses, o noticiário do país foi invadido por uma avalanche de notícias sobre assaltos praticados por jovens que praticam crimes disfarçados de entregadores de aplicativos de comida.
Ao mesmo tempo em que impulsionam a indignação da sociedade, sempre abandonada pelo Estado, notícias desse tipo puxam para cima a leitura e a audiência dos veículos de comunicação.
Sou a favor da divulgação de tudo o que acontece no país, inclusive os crimes citados, mas a notícia não deve ficar refém do sensacionalismo. É preciso que a partir da informação os profissionais de imprensa reflitam sobre o contexto dos fatos e cobrem das autoridades soluções para um problema que só cresce.
Compreendo que a necessidade não tem limites, mas nada justifica o cometimento de um crime, mas explica.
É preciso mudar a realidade social do Brasil, é preciso que as grandes cidades comecem a se preocupar com o que acontece além dos seus respectivos territórios, que a elite volte o olhar para as periferias, para a população desassistida.
Alguém pode questionar sobre a relação entre educação e o cometimento de crimes. Essa conexão é clara e preocupante. Lembro que quanto mais o Estado brasileiro investir em educação de qualidade, menores serão os investimentos na construção de presídios.
Os parágrafos acima abrem caminho para minha preocupação em relação aos jovens brasileiros que começam a se inscrever no Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem).
O Brasil, assim como a extensa maioria dos países, enfrentou dois anos de pandemia, que, além das milhares de mortes e milhões de internações, causou danos a diversos setores, inclusive à educação pública.
Durante a crise sanitária ficou evidente a disparidade social no campo da educação. Enquanto os alunos do ensino privado tiveram o privilégio do ensino à distância em razão das condições socioeconômicas, os da rede pública fizeram o impossível, mas acabaram ficando para trás em termos de aprendizagem. Esse quadro reforça a importância da inclusão digital.
O Ministério da Educação, que define as regras do setor, não se preocupou em orientar escolas e professores sobre como lidar com esse hiato provocado pela pandemia. Todos foram abandonados à própria sorte. Os com melhores condições financeiras, ínfima minoria, saíram na dianteira.
Esse quadro certamente impactará os resultados do Enem, sem que até o momento o Estado tenha acenado com alguma forma de encurtar essa disparidade. O que se viu nos últimos esses foi um amontoado de denúncias de corrupção envolvendo a pasta da Educação.
Diz a sabedoria popular que “não se chora sobre o leite derramado”, mas peço licença aos mais experientes para discordar. O estrago produzido pela pandemia na educação brasileira levará muitos de nós a chorar mais adiante. Afinal, os desassistidos pagarão a conta, como sempre.
Na crise sanitária ficou evidente aos olhos de todos a precarização do trabalho. Jovens passam 12 horas ou mais sobre motocicletas e bicicletas como forma de levar para casa ao menos o pão de cada dia. Esse quadro tende a perdurar de Norte a Sul, pois o desemprego e a subutilização da mão de obra são peças de destaque no tabuleiro do caos. Além disso, a baixa qualificação da mão de obra é um sinal de alerta.
Os jovens deram demonstração de que querem mudanças. Incentivados por campanhas veiculadas nas redes sociais, muitas estreladas por artistas e influenciadores digitais, 2 milhões de jovens de 16 a 18 anos correram para tirar o título de eleitor. Esse movimento mostra que mudar é preciso.
A mudança que muitos desejam começou por um lado (o interesse nas eleições), mas poderá andar para trás em outro setor (a disparidade de condições no Enem).
Há dias, órgãos de imprensa gastaram tinta para informar sobre os polpudos salários pagos a profissionais de tecnologia da informação. Bom seria que aquele que se equilibra na corda bamba da crise carregando a mochila dos aplicativos de comida nas costas pudesse alcançar profissionalmente o que é privilégio de poucos.
Assistir a jovens ingressando desde cedo no universo do crime é desalentador. Indignação não muda esse quadro, mas a população tem direito à segurança, obrigação constitucional do Estado. A educação também é um direito do cidadão.
Homem de fé, creio que juntos podemos mudar um cenário que atualmente nos preocupa em todos os sentidos – seja pela falta de isonomia, seja pela violência. Os que comigo convivem já ouviram a frase “só a educação liberta”.
O filósofo prussiano Immanuel Kant disse certa vez: “O ser humano é aquilo que a educação faz dele”.
O voto consciente possibilita mudanças políticas, a educação garante acesso à cidadania.
