Os moradores do condomínio relataram que a garota retirou os pequenos do imóvel e correu para chamar os vizinhos e pedir ajuda para resgatar o avô e ajudar a apagar o fogo.
Os vizinhos controlaram as chamas usando baldes e água de mangueira de jardim. Quando os Bombeiros chegaram ao local, apagaram os focos remanescentes de fogo.
O quarto onde os irmãos dormiam queimou totalmente. Roupas, duas camas beliche, guarda roupa e cômoda foram carbonizados.
