O Irã executou nesta quinta-feira (8) um homem acusado de ferir um integrante da força paramilitar Basich durante os protestos que tomaram conta do país há quase três meses.
Mohsen Shekari, é acusado de ser “um desordeiro que bloqueou a avenida Sattar Khan em Teerã em 25 de setembro e feriu um basich com um facão.

A justiça iraniana afirma que Shekari se declarou culpado de ter lutado e sacado “a arma com a intenção de matar, provocar terror e perturbar a ordem e a segurança da sociedade”.
“Ele feriu de maneira intencional um basich com arma branca, enquanto este cumpria o seu dever e bloqueou a avenida Sattar Khan em Teerã”, afirma a agência.
O Irã é cenário de uma onda de protestos desde a morte, em 16 de setembro, de Mahsa Amini, uma curda iraniana de 22 anos que faleceu depois de ser detida pela polícia da moralidade por supostamente desrespeitar o código de vestimenta do país, que obriga as mulheres a usar o véu.
As autoridades, que denunciam as manifestações como “distúrbios”, acusam com frequência os Estados Unidos e seus aliados ocidentais, assim como grupos curdos no exterior, de estimular o movimento de protestos sem precedentes.
