Pereira era sócio do escritório Alvarez & Marsal, contratado para trabalhar na reestruturação financeira da varejista, e foi o principal executivo financeiro da Siemens entre 2005 e 2008. Seu mandato na Americanas passa a valer já a partir desta quarta.
