O Tribunal Regional Federal da primeira região (TRF-1) manteve nesta terça-feira (3) a absolvição do ex-presidente da República, Michel Temer, do ex-presidente da Câmara dos Deputados, Eduardo Cunha, do ex-deputado Geddel Vieira Lima e outros nove acusados de integrar o chamado “quadrilhão do MDB”.
O MPF havia denunciado os emedebistas, acusados de formar uma organização criminosa que arracadava propina por meio de estatais como Caixa e Petrobras, da Câmara dos Deputados e de ministérios.
Temer e seus colegas de partido haviam sido absolvidos na primeira instância. Nesta terça, a Terceira Turma do TRF-1 confirmou a decisão, negando recurso apresentado pelo Ministério Público Federal (MPF).
Entre os absolvidos estão também os ex-deputados Henrique Eduardo Alves (ex-presidente da Câmara, como Cunha) e Rodrigo Rocha Loures, os ex-ministros Moreira Franco e Eliseu Padilha, o ex-doleiro Lúcio Funaro e o empresário José Yunes.
A denúncia em questão havia sido apresentada em 2017 pelo então procurador-geral da República Rodrigo Janot. O chefe do Ministério Público Federal apontou Michel Tremer como líder de uma organização criminosa composta por correligionários, que teria atuado em diversos órgãos públicos, como Petrobrás, Furnas, Caixa Econômica, Ministério da Integração Nacional e Câmara dos Deputados, em troca de propinas de mais de R$ 587 milhões.
Todos estão liberados destas investigações pela Justiça.
