Soleini, de nove anos, Tien, de quatro, e Cristin, que completou um ano, no meio da mata, durante a saga, hoje estão bem, graças à liderança e coragem da irmã mais velha, Lesly Mucutuy, de 13 anos, ssgundo o indígena.
Sergio París Mendoza, diretor da Autoridade Aeronáutica Civil da Colômbia, revelou que as crianças mais velhas tiveram que mover o corpo da própria mãe, que morreu no acidente, para conseguir retirar Cristin, de um ano, dos destroços do avião.
No dia 1° de maio, o avião tinha decolado de manhã cedo do aeroporto de Araracuara, a quase 620 quilômetros ao sul da capital Bogotá, com destino a San José del Guaviare. A bordo, os quatro irmãos, a mãe deles, o ativista indígena Hermán Mendoza Hernandez e o piloto, Hernando Múrcia Morales.
Segundo as investigações preliminares, o avião estava a 50 metros do solo, quando atingiu árvores e caiu. A aeronave só viria a ser encontrada quinze dias depois, assim como os corpos dos três adultos. As crianças tinham desaparecido.
As crianças contaram ao pai, que neste domingo (11), contou que a mãe delas ainda ficou viva por quatro dias, após a queda. “A menina me contou que a mãe esteve quatro dias viva. Antes de morrer, a mãe lhes disse ‘vão embora'”, relembra.
No sábado (10) o general Pedro Sanchez disse que inicialmente elas comeram três quilos de farinha de mandioca que havia no avião e depois sobreviveram à base de frutas silvestres.
Nas buscas, os resgatistas chegaram a usar mensagens gravadas pela avó: “Fiquem parados porque o Exército está buscando vocês.”
“Elas sobreviveram comendo frutas silvestres, bebendo água, mas com o tempo foram se sentindo muito frágeis. E foi assim que elas decidiram parar. Quando tentavam caminhar, já não conseguiam mais seguir adiante. E foi por isso que conseguiram encontrá-las”, completa Fidencio.
