As forte chuvas que atingiram a região metropolitana de São Paulo na noite de domingo (8) e madrugada desta segunda-feira (9) deixaram ruas e avenidas de Franco da Rocha e Caieiras alagadas, além de diversos carros submersos. Duas pessoas morreram em Diadema, no ABC Paulista (veja mais abaixo).
De acordo com a prefeitura de Franco da Rocha, mais de 10 ruas foram tomadas pela água, principalmente na região central. Um motorista foi retirado do veículo por moradores na noite de domingo (8) depois que o carro ficou submerso em uma das ruas da região central.
Equipes da Defesa Civil e Corpo de Bombeiros foram acionadas e ajudaram a socorrer moradores que ficaram ilhados nas vias. Não houve registro de feridos na cidade. Na avenida Pacaembu, houve registro de deslizamento de casa. “Estava no momento no deslizamento, mas a família está bem. Ainda bem que não teve vítimas.
Segundo a Defesa Civil de Franco da Rocha, nas últimas 72 horas choveu o que era esperado para todo o mês de outubro.
Já em Caieiras, ruas da região central também ficaram alagadas. No Teatro Municipal, a água da enchente invadiu o espaço e deixou cadeiras submersas.
Duas pessoas morreram após o carro cair em um córrego de Diadema. De acordo com a Polícia Militar, uma equipe foi acionada por volta das 2h desta segunda-feira (9) para atender ocorrência de capotamento em um córrego próximo ao Parque Ecológico na Estrada do Alvarenga.
No local, os policiais encontraram o veículo parcialmente submerso e resgataram as vítimas. Elas foram levadas ao pronto-socorro de Diadema, mas não resistiram.
