O 1º Encontro de Mobilização da Promoção da Saúde no Brasil, o qual contou com uma performance erótica ao som de uma versão da música Batcu, da drag queen Aretuza Lovi, custou pelo menos 973.173,14 reais aos cofres públicos. No entanto, todas as etapas do processo contaram com a aprovação do superior hierárquico dele, o secretário de Atenção Primária à Saúde, Nésio Fernandes de Medeiros Júnior.
Também chama a atenção a rapidez com que o processo se desenrolou: o processo burocrático teve início no dia 14 de setembro, e as atividades começaram em 4 de outubro.
Os documentos internos do ministério também não deixam claro como exatamente as atividades do evento se relacionam com a atenção básica à saúde, mas frisa que era uma agenda política e social do governo para a “transformação da sociedade”.
