A fumaça que voltou a encobrir a cidade de Manaus, desde domingo se intensificou nesta segunda-feira, (30), e continua grave nesta terça-feira (31) é causada por focos de incêndio em municípios da Região Metropolitana, de acordo com dados do programa Queimadas, do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (Inpe).
A informação foi levantada pela Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade (Semmas).
O painel interativo de queimadas registrou um aumento nos focos de calor no estado do Amazonas, com 243 incidentes detectados entre domingo, 29, e terça-feira, 31. Esta quantidade representa um salto de 262% em comparação ao mesmo período do ano anterior, que teve apenas 67 ocorrências.
Apuí lidera o ranking municipal com 35 focos, seguido por Presidente Figueiredo com 17, e Canutama e Autazes, com 16 e 14 focos, respectivamente. A região Sul do Amazonas é a mais afetada, com 84 registros, enquanto a Região Metropolitana e o Centro do Estado contabilizaram 75 e 66 focos, respectivamente.
