Ex-ministro de Bolsonaro e ex-secretário de Segurança do Distrito Federal, assim como governador eram réus pelos ataques de 8 de Janeiro de 2023
O Ministério Público Federal (MPF) arquivou o inquérito civil contra o governador do Distrito Federal, Ibaneis Rocha, Anderson Torres, ex-secretário de Segurança e outros investigados pelos atos de vandalismo, apontados como crimes contra a democracia pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) ocorridos no dia 8 de Janeiro de 2023.
Segundo o MPF não há elementos para denunciar o então secretário de Segurança Pública do Governo do Distrito Federal por omissão ou participação nos atos que culminaram com a depredação das sedes dos Três Poderes em Brasília.
O governador disse que se sentiu aliviado com a decisão.
A defesa de Anderson Torres, que também foi ministro da Justiça e Segurança Pública quando Jair Bolsonaro (PL) era presidente, afirma que o arquivamento, na esfera civil, terá consequências nas investigações que ocorrem no âmbito criminal.
Segundo o escritório de advocacia de Eumar Novacki, que atua para Torres, o Ministério Público Federal (MPF), ao arquivar o processo, abordou detalhadamente o caso em um extenso documento com mais de 30 páginas.
