Onofre foi delegado-geral da PCDF em governo do PT
Morreu na noite deste sábado (7/9), aos 68 anos, o ex-delegado-geral da Polícia Civil do Distrito Federal (PCDF), Onofre de Moraes, vítima de complicações da covid-19.
O delegado aposentado ocupou o cargo máximo da corporação por três meses, de novembro de 2011 a fevereiro de 2012.
A família ainda não divulgou informações sobre velório e sepultamento.
Considerado um dos principais aliados do ex-governador Agnelo Queiroz (PT) no início de sua gestão, Onofre deixou o posto após o vazamento de um vídeo no qual fazia críticas ao então governador e a outras figuras da política local.
Nas imagens, o delegado afirmava que o petista sairia em um camburão da Polícia Federal e o acusava de envolvimento em esquemas ilícitos durante sua carreira pública. A situação ficou insustentável para a continuação do delegado no cargo.
Polêmicas
O nome de Onofre também foi mencionado no escândalo da Caixa de Pandora. Segundo o delator Durval Barbosa, o ex-delegado teria oferecido R$ 150 mil ao jornalista Edson Sombra para que ele deixasse de publicar críticas ao governo de Agnelo.
Na época, Onofre negou as acusações em entrevista e alegou que as denúncias eram uma retaliação a uma investigação conduzida pela Delegacia de Crimes Contra a Ordem Tributária (DOT) contra a empresa da esposa do jornalista.
