No dia em que é comemorado o Dia Mundial da Educação, uma triste notícia para o Brasil. Aenas 5,2% dos alunos que estavam no 3º ano do ensino médio na rede pública em 2023 apresentaram um nível de aprendizagem em matemática considerado adequado.
O trágico dado pata a educação brasileira é de uma análise do Interdisciplinaridade e Evidências no Debate Educacional (Iede), divulgado nesta segunda-feira (28).
Já entre os alunos que estavam terminando a etapa de educação básica na rede privada, 30,5% tiveram o mesmo nível de desempenho.
A análise tem como base os dados do Sistema de Avaliação da Educação Básica (Saeb) de 2023.
O número aparece ainda no estudo “Aprendizagem na Educação Básica: situação brasileira no pós-pandemia”, do Todos Pela Educação, também divulgado nesta segunda.
Os dados indicam que nível de aprendizagem de matemática voltou a panoramas de mais de uma década atrás. Mesmo que o número tenha subido com relação a 2021 (5%), ainda está abaixo dos 6,9% registrados em 2019, na pré-pandemia, e se iguala a resultados de 2011.
Língua portuguesa
O desempenho em língua portuguesa por alunos do 3º ano, teve resultado melhor, mas ainda longe do ideal: cerca de apenas 32,4% tiveram um nível de aprendizagem adequado.
Embora haja sinais de recuperação em relação a 2021 (31,2%), o número ainda é menor que o observado em 2019 (33,5%).
Outros destaques das análises do Iede e do Todos Pela Educação:
- 5,2% dos alunos da rede pública no 3º ano do Ensino Médio atingem aprendizagem adequada em matemática.
- Entre os estudantes do 9º ano, 16,5% demonstram domínio esperado em matemática (Iede).
- No 5º ano, 43,5% dos alunos da rede pública têm desempenho adequado em matemática e 55,1% em língua portuguesa (Iede).
- O Todos Pela Educação destaca que o país só recuperou os mesmos níveis de aprendizado adequado da pré-pandemia em língua portuguesa e com alunos de 9º ano. 35,9% dos estudantes da rede pública conquistaram o nível nos dois anos.
A análise do Iede também revela que as desigualdades educacionais por raça e por renda se agravaram nos últimos dez anos. No 9º ano, a diferença de desempenho em língua portuguesa entre estudantes brancos/amarelos e pretos/pardos/indígenas subiu de 9,6 pontos percentuais em 2013 para 14,1 pontos em 2023.
Em matemática, o abismo foi de 6,2 p.p. para 8,6 p.p.. No Ensino Médio, a distância entre os grupos em Português aumentou de 11,1 p.p. para 14,0 p.p.
As desigualdades também se refletem no nível socioeconômico. No 5º ano, 61% dos alunos mais ricos atingem aprendizagem adequada em língua portuguesa, frente a 45% dos mais pobres. Em Matemática, os percentuais são de 52% e 32%, respectivamente.
Mesmo entre estudantes com perfil socioeconômico semelhante, o desempenho de brancos segue superior ao de pretos e pardos.
As comparações entre redes mostram diferenças expressivas. No 5º ano, 72,6% dos estudantes da rede privada atingiram o nível adequado em Matemática, frente a 43,5% da rede pública.
Em Língua Portuguesa, a diferença foi de 27,4 pontos percentuais. No Ensino Médio, os dados do Iede mostram que 8% dos estudantes brancos alcançaram o nível adequado em Matemática, contra 3% dos estudantes pretos.
