O presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) anunciou nesta segunda-feira (20) o deputado federal Guilherme Boulos (PSOL-SP) como novo ministro da Secretaria-Geral da Presidência, pasta responsável pela relação do governo com os movimentos sociais.
A decisão foi comunicada ao ministro nesta tarde, durante uma reunião no Planalto, que durou cerca de 1h30
Boulos substitui o ex-deputado Márcio Macêdo (PT-SE), que estava no cargo desde o começo do terceiro mandato de Lula, em janeiro de 2023.
Após o anúncio, Lula publicou uma foto ao lado de Boulos e Macêdo.
A Secretaria-Geral da Presidência é responsável pela articulação do governo com movimentos sociais — um dos eixos centrais da estratégia política de Lula. O nome de Boulos, que foi uma das principais lideranças do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem-Teto (MTST), é visto como uma tentativa de reforçar os laços do governo com setores populares e de esquerda em meio a um cenário de disputas internas e pressão por maior presença de aliados históricos no primeiro escalão.
A escolha de Boulos visa melhorar a relação com os movimentos sociais, já de olho na eleição presidencial de 2026 — o novo ministro construiu sua carreira como uma das principais lideranças do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem-Teto (MTST).
