Martin de Luca, advogado do presidente dos EUA, Donald Trump, insinuou, nesta quinta-feira (30), que instituições brasileiras, como o Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) e o Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), compactuam com o crime organizado.
A declaração se refere ao posicionamento dos tribunais após a megaoperação comandada pelo governador do Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro, na última terça-feira (28/10), que resultou na prisão de 113 criminosos, apreensão de 10 menores envolvidos com o crime e morte em confronto armado de 121 pessoas.
“Um dia depois de o governador do Rio, Cláudio Castro, liderar a maior operação do Brasil contra o Comando Vermelho — grupo que os EUA estão considerando designar como organização terrorista estrangeira —, o Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), composto pelos ministros do STF repentinamente marca seu julgamento para possível destituição do cargo”, postou Luca.
O advogado ainda disse: “O governador do Rio é um dos funcionários dispostos a enfrentar o crime organizado, algo que o governo federal parece relutante em fazer. A mensagem transmitida por isso não poderia ser pior. Aqueles que combatem os narcotraficantes são investigados e ameaçados de destituição. O Brasil não pode derrotar o crime organizado se suas instituições punirem a coragem e recompensarem a paralisia”.
O comentário do advogado é feito um dia após o TSE marcar para 4 de novembro o julgamento que pode tornar Castro inelegível. O governador entrou na mira da Justiça Eleitoral em 2022, acusado de abuso de poder político e econômico. Ele chegou a ser absolvido pelo TRE do Rio, mas o Ministério Público Eleitoral recorreu ao TSE.
Nessa quarta-feira (29), o ministro Alexandre de Moraes, do STF, publicou decisão para que Castro preste uma série de esclarecimentos a respeito da megaoperação.
Segundo o documento, o governador deve explicar ponto a ponto a operação, conforme pedido pelo Conselho Nacional dos Direitos Humanos (CNDH) do governo de Luís Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
