Parlamentar é um dos alvos de operação da Polícia Federal
A Polícia Federal deflagrou uma operação nesta terça-feira (16) contra uma organização criminosa suspeita de corrupção e lavagem de dinheiro de enendas parlamentares. Segundo as investigações, agentes públicos estão envolvidos no esquema.
A Polícia Federal encontrou celulares jogados pela janela durante o cumprimento de mandado de busca e apreensão no apartamento funcional em Brasília, do deputado federal Antônio Leocádio dos Santos (MDB-PA), conhecido como Antônio Doido.
O deputado é um dos alvos da Operação Igapó, que investiga uma organização criminosa suspeita de corrupção e lavagem de dinheiro. De acordo com a PF, os investigados desviavam verbas públicas de emendas parlamentares e recursos estaduais por meio de fraudes em processos de licitação e depois usavam o dinheiro desviado para o pagamento de vantagens indevidas e ocultação de patrimônio.
Os celulares foram encontrados pela PF jogados da janela do apartamentodo parlamentar. A PF fez vídeo dos celulares no gramado.
Além dos celulares, a Polícia Federal também encontrou dinheiro em espécie no imóvel do deputado.
No início deste mês, a Justiça Eleitoral tornou o parlamentar inelegível por oito anos pela prática de abuso de poder político e econômico nas eleições municipais para prefeito em 2024.
Segundo o TRE-PA, o juiz eleitoral concluiu que o “réu utilizou recursos públicos provenientes de emendas parlamentares para promover sua imagem e influenciar o eleitorado, caracterizando abuso de poder político”.
Policiais federais cumprem 31 mandados de busca e apreensão, expedidos pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal, no estado do Pará e no Distrito Federal. O relator do caso na Corte é o ministro Flávio Dino.
