Com gols de Yuri Alberto e Memphis Depay, Corinthians fatura o quarto título da Copa do Brasil e quebra jejum de oito anos
O Corinthians é tetracampeão da Copa do Brasil! O Timão bateu o Vasco na decisão deste domingo (21/12) por 2 x 1, no Maracanã e ficou com o título da competição nacional. Yuri Alberto e Memphis Depay fizeram os gols corintianos, enquanto Nuno Moreira marcou para os cruzmaltinos.
Com a conquista, o Corinthians garantiu vaga na fase de grupos da Copa Libertadores 2026. Além disso, o Timão quebrou uma sequência de oito anos sem títulos nacionais. O último havia sido o Campeonato Brasileiro de 2017.
A partida entre as duas equipes foi tensa e muito disputada. O Corinthians abriu o placar aos 18 minutos. Yuri Alberto recebeu lançamento de Matheuzinho e finalizou sem chances para Léo Jardim. 1 x 0 para a equipe paulista.
A equipe do Vasco se lançou ao ataque e conseguiu um escanteio. Aos 30 minutos, Coutinho cruzou para cabeceio de Thiago Mendes, que parou na defesa de Hugo Souza. A blitz vascaína continuou. Aos 32, Coutinho cobrou escanteio fechado, que parou em defesa de Hugo.
O Vasco fez o gol de empate aos 40 minutos do primeiro tempo. Andrés Gomez aproveitou falha de José Martínez, subiu pela direita e cruzou para Nuno Moreira, de cabeça, fazer 1 x 1.
O segundo tempo continuou com tensão dos dois lados. No início da etapa, o Vasco acuou o time do Corinthians no campo de defesa. O Cruzmaltino cadenciou o jogo em busca de uma oportunidade para atacar. Aos seis minutos, Andrés Gomez encontrou Coutinho na área, mas o meia cabeceou para defesa de Hugo Souza.
O tempo fechou aos 14 minutos. Após disputa de bola entre Yuri Alberto e Thiago Mendes, os jogadores e estranharam, os dois tomaram cartão amarelo, e começou o bate-boca entre atletas das duas equipes.
O gol do título do Corinthians saiu aos 17 minutos do segundo tempo. Breno Bidon fez grande jogada e achou Matheuzinho passando pela direita, que encontra Yuri Alberto. O camisa 9 rolou a bola para Memphis Depay, e o holandês não desperdiçou. 2 x1 para o Timão.
A partir daí, o Vasco foi para o abafa. No entanto, o Corinthians esteve com a defesa bem recomposta para evitar os avanços dos jogadores cruzmaltinos e garantir o quarto título da Copa do Brasil.
