A China afirmou, nesta segunda-feira (22), que a “apreensão arbitrária” de navios de outros países pelos Estados Unidos constitui uma grave violação do direito internacional. Segundo o porta-voz do Ministério das Relações Exteriores, o país se opõe a todas as ‘sanções unilaterais e ilegais’ dos EUA.
Durante uma coletiva de imprensa diária, o porta-voz afirmou, também, que a Venezuela tem o direito de desenvolver relações com outros países. A China é um aliado da Venezuela e na semana passada saiu em defesa do regime Maduro ao criticar o que chamou de “assédio unilateral” do governo Trump.
Neste domingo (21), os Estados Unidos interceptaram um terceiro navio petroleiro próximo à costa da Venezuela.
A Bloomberg afirmou que o nome do barco é o petroleiro Bella 1 e que forças americanas já teriam embarcado no navio, já a Reuters disse que a embarcação está sendo perseguida e foi interceptada, mas que a abordagem ainda não haveria ocorrido.
