Um adolescente de 14 anos, natural de Campinas (SP), desapareceu no mar de Copacabana, na Zona Sul do Rio de Janeiro, na manhã desta quarta-feira (31 de dezembro de 2025), por volta do fim da manhã, na altura do Posto 2.
Bombeiros realizam buscas intensas com jetskis e equipamentos especializados, enquanto a família acompanha ansiosa na areia; durante a operação, outra pessoa foi resgatada com vida.
O incidente ocorre em meio a um alerta de ressaca emitido pela Marinha, com ondas de até 2,5 metros, valas e correntes de retorno fortes.
Circunstâncias do desaparecimento
O jovem, que passava o Réveillon com a família no Rio, brincava na parte rasa da praia quando foi surpreendido por uma onda grande que o arrastou para o fundo. Familiares relataram que o garoto estava na água em momento de descuido, sem nadar em área profunda inicialmente, mas a ressaca intensa mudou o cenário rapidamente.
A praia lotada para as festas de fim de ano complicou o resgate imediato, com relatos de pânico entre banhistas próximos.
Operação de resgate em andamento
O Corpo de Bombeiros Militar do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (CBMERJ) mobilizou equipes no local desde o chamado inicial, utilizando jetskis para vasculhar a área do Posto 2.
Até o início da tarde, as buscas prosseguiam sem localização do adolescente, com parentes visivelmente abalados acompanhando de longe.
Durante a ação, bombeiros salvaram outra vítima de afogamento na mesma região, destacando o risco generalizado no litoral carioca hoje.
Risco e alertas oficiais
A Marinha do Brasil emitiu aviso de ressaca para o litoral do Rio, prevendo ondas de 2 a 2,5 metros, especialmente em Copacabana, com energia alta no mar, valas e correntes de retorno perigosas.
O tenente-coronel Fábio Contreiras, do CBMERJ, reforçou na terça-feira (30) que drones emitiriam alertas sonoros para impedir banhos, enfatizando: “O mar não vai estar indicado para mergulho […] a corporação não negocia a segurança”.
A Defesa Civil enviou “alerta severo” via celular aos moradores, recomendando evitar praias no período de virada do ano.

Casos de afogamentos em Copacabana e praias vizinhas são recorrentes em condições de ressaca, como o casal de adolescentes (14 e 15 anos) arrastado no Leme em setembro de 2025, cujos corpos foram encontrados dias depois em praias distantes.
Autoridades reiteram a importância de bandeiras vermelhas de proibição de banho e supervisão de crianças, com o CBMERJ intensificando patrulhas para o Réveillon.
Até o momento, não há atualizações sobre o paradeiro do garoto de Campinas, e as buscas seguem ininterruptas.
