O Senado Federal aprovou nesta quarta-feira (4) o projeto de lei que autoriza o governo do presidente Luiz inácio Lula da Silva (PT) a pagar um piso menor para a saúde em 2023. A redução vai contra as promessas de campanha de Lula que prometeu valorizar o SUS.
Encaminhado como “extrapauta” ao Congresso Nacional e adicionado durante a sessão em andamento no Plenário do Senado, o projeto abre caminho para um repasse de R$ 13,9 bilhões a estados e municípios, o que facilitou a aprovação pelos parlamentares.
O relator do projeto na Câmara, Zeca Dirceu (PT-PR), incluiu o artigo que permite pagar um piso da saúde menor. Aprovada no Senado sem nenhuma mudança, a proposta segue agora para a sanção da Presidência.
Mais cedo, nesta quarta-feira, o ministro das Relações Institucionais de Lula, Alexandre Padilha pediu aos senadores para que a matéria fosse apreciada ainda hoje, permitindo ao governo fazer o pagamento a estados e municípios ainda neste mês.
O texto antecipa R$ 10 bilhões da compensação da União aos estados pelos cortes no ICMS patrocinados pela gestão do ex-presidente, Jair Bolsonaro (PL) durante a campanha de 2022.
Esse valor estava programado para 2024, mas será adiantado para este ano para dar um “alívio” ao caixa de estados e municípios e agradou aos senadores e deputados.
