Cleriston Pereira da Cunha era comerciante, tinha 46 anos e teve um “mal súbito” após quase um ano preso na Papuda

Um dos manifestantes que foram presos ao invadirem as sedes dos Três Poderes em Brasília, nos atos do 8 de janeiro, Cleriston Pereira da Cunha de 46 anos, morreu nesta segunda-feira  (20), no Complexo Penitenciário da Papuda, em Brasília.

O comerciante que não tinha antecedentes criminais foi preso dentro do Senado Federal no dia 8 e desde então estava preso. Em abril, ele foi denunciado pela Procuradoria-Geral da República (PGR) por cinco crimes e tornou-se réu. Ainda não havia previsão de quando ele seria julgado.

Em setembro, a PGR concordou com um pedido de liberdade apresentado pela defesa. O órgão considerou que o fim da fase de instrução, com as audiências das testemunhas e do próprio réu, possibilitava que ele fosse solto. O relator do caso, ministro Alexandre de Moraes, não analisou a solicitação e Clezão, como era conhecido, morreu depois de quase um ano preso.

Cleriston deixou esposa e filhas

Segundo a Vara de Execuções Penais (VEP), Cleriston Pereira da Cunha tinha 46 anos e teve um “mal súbito”.

O detento teve “um mal súbito durante o banho de sol” na manhã desta segunda. O Corpo de Bombeiros e o Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (SAMU) foram ao local, mas não conseguiram reanimá-lo.

Clezão teve Covid-19 e sofria de diabetes e hipertensão e utilizava medicação controlada. Ele também teve seis atendimentos médicos durante seu período na prisão, entre janeiro e maio, além de ter sido encaminhado para o Hospital Regional da Asa Norte (HRAN), em maio.
