A chuva não dá trégua no Rio Grande do Sul, e volta a castigar áreas que já haviam sofrido desastres com enchentes e deslizamentos que já causaram a morte de 145 pessoas.
São 132 pessoas desaparecidas e mais de 800 feridos na maior tragédia no Brasil nos últimos 10 anos.
A chuva afeta mais de 2 milhões de pessoas em 447 municípios. Mais de 81 mil pessoas estão em abrigos, e 538,2 mil foram para a casa de parentes ou amigos.
Mais de 76 mil pessoas e 10,5 mil animais foram resgatados em situação de risco nas cheias.
Os rios Taquari e Caí voltaram a transbordar, causando novas inundações no interior do estado. Ambos desaguam no Guaíba, na Região Metropolitana de Porto Alegre.
O nível do Guaíba, que vinha caindo, voltou a subir e segundo as projeções da Universidade Federal do Rio Hrande do Sul (UFRGS) a água pode atingir 5,5 metros, e superar o recorde de cheia histórico da semana passada.
A situação também é preocupante no sul do estado, onde está a Lagoa dos Patos, que recebe a água do Guaíba. Pelotas e Rio Grande registram alagamentos.
Autoridades emitiram vários alertas para regiões de alto risco no estado e pedem para que as pessoas não voltem para as áreas de risco.
Duas barragens estão em situação de emergência, segundo o governo do Rio Grande do Sul.
O Rio Taquari subiu quase 6 metros em 24 horas e voltou a alagar ruas e bairros para onde os moradores já estavam começando a voltar. Essa água vai chegar ao Guaíba, que deve ultrapassar novamente o nível de 5 metros entre esta segunda (13) e esta terça (14).
