Dez bezerros que eram conduzidos em situação de maus tratos foram recuperados pela Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) na noite da última sexta-feira (17), na BR-020, próximo a Planaltina-DF.
O resgate aconteceu durante a Operação Corpus Christi, e os militares apreenderam, ainda, 1.470 comprimidos de anfetamina.
O motorista, preso em flagrante, levava dez bezerros da raça holandesa dentro da caçamba de uma caminhonete Amarok/VW.
Os animais estavam amarrados dentro de sacos de ração, com a cabeça para fora, cobertos por uma lona.
Os mugidos chamaram a atenção dos policiais que retiraram a cobertura da caçamba e encontraram os animais.
Segundo o motorista, os bezerros foram comprados em uma fazenda leiteira em Orizona em Goiás por R$200 cada um. Eram todos machos, que não seriam utilizados na fazenda. Diante dos fatos, os policiais realizaram a busca no veículo e encontraram também 1.470 comprimidos de anfetaminas conhecidas como “rebite”.
O motorista, que foi preso por tráfico de drogas e maus-tratos de animais e levado para delegacia de Planaltina , disse que recebeu R$300 para levar a droga até Luís Eduardo Magalhães-BA.
