A Polícia Federal divulgou nesta terça-feira (14) que prendeu mais um suspeito do desaparecimento do jornalista britânico Dominic Phillips e do indigenista Bruno Pereira (fotos) no Vale do Javari, no Amazonas.
Segundo testemunha anônima, Dos Santos foi visto remando em direção à lancha de Pelado, portando uma espingarda, no dia dos desaparecimentos, domingo (5).
Em depoimento à PF divulgado nesta terça-feira (14) pelo Estadão, Pelado admitiu ter visto o barco em que os dois viajavam quando foram vistos pela última vez.
O pescador disse que avistou o jornalista e o indigenista quando eles navegaram em frente à comunidade ribeirinha São Gabriel, onde mora. Ele afirma, porém, não ter saído no dia em que Phillips e Pereira desapareceram.
