Deputados e senadores aprovaram nesta quarta-feira (10) um projeto de Lei que reduz em 40% a área da Floresta Nacional de Brasília (Flona) para regularização fundiária dos assentamentos 26 de Setembro e Maranata, onde vivem cerca de 40 mil pessoas.
O projeto reduz 3.706,26 hectares (37,06 km²) da Flona, área equivalente a quase nove Parques da Cidade de Brasília (DF). Com a mudança, a floresta passa a ter 5.640 hectares.
O projeto também aumenta a área I do Floresta Nacional, para que o trecho de proteção ambiental se estenda até às margens da rodovia BR-070, que margeia o local. Também reduz parte da área IV para regularizar os imóveis rurais na região que já possuem escrituração anterior ao Ato da criação da Flona.
O relator da matéria, senador Izalci Lucas (PSDB-DF) costurou um acordo para estabelecer, segundo ele, uma compensação que corresponderia a cerca 20% da área. O texto foi redigido durante a sessão.
Mesmo alterando o conteúdo da proposta, a mudança foi aprovada como emenda de redação para evitar que retornasse para votação na Câmara.
A Floresta Nacional de Brasília foi criada por um decreto do ex-presidente Fernando Henrique Cardoso, em junho de 1999. Na época, o decreto previa que a Flona seria separada em quatro áreas que somadas, totalizavam 9.346,26 hectares.
A votação foi simbólica, sem a necessidade de votação nominal. Os senadores Cid Gomes (PDT-CE) e Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede-AP) foram contra.
A ex-ministra e deputada Flávia Arruda (PL-DF), autora da proposta, esteve presente na sessão do Senado.
O projeto deixa em aberto a definição de como será a compensação “ambiental, social e econômica” após a redução da área.
