Grupo de famílias de brasileiros vão aguardar resgate em local identicado pata não sofrer ataques de Israel
O embaixador do Brasil na Palestina, Alessandro Candeas, informou nesta quarta-feira (11) que parte dos brasileiros que se encontram na Faixa de Gaza vai se refugiar em uma escola católica da região.
Segundo o embaixador, outros brasileiros continuarão a aguardar em suas casas até o governo conclua as negociações para o resgate de volta ao Brasil.
A embaxada do Brasil comunicou a Israel que as pessoas serão abrigadas na escola, para evitar que o local seja alvo de bombardeios.
“A fim de reuni-los e protegê-los, estamos hospedando 13 integrantes do grupo de brasileiros em uma escola católica: Sister Rosary School. Os restantes 15 preferiram aguardar em suas casas. Informaremos Israel deste fato, a fim que que o local não seja bombardeado”, relatou Candeas.
Mais cedo, o embaixador disse que, ao todo, 28 brasileiros em Gaza manifestaram vontade de voltar ao Brasil, para se livrar da guerra. Antes eram 30, mas 2 desistiram. Desses 28, 15 são crianças.
A ideia do governo brasileiro é retirar essas pessoas de Gaza pela fronteira com o Egito, de ônibus. Em seguida, o grupo percorreria um trajeto em território egípcio até a capital, Cairo, onde um avião para o Brasil estaria esperando.
O problema, de acordo com Candeas, é que o Egito não quer autorizar a passagem do grupo por seu território. O Egito tem receio de que os brasileiros se tornem refugiados no país.
A região está sem energia elétrica, e a bateria dos celulares corre o risco de acabar. O embaixador disse que alguns brasileiros estão conseguindo economizar a bateria e ainda podem ser contactados pelo celular.
