O ministro do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) Alexandre de Moraes mandou a Polícia Federal cumprir nesta quinta-feira (29) três prisões preventivas de novos acusados de envolvimento na depredação dos prédios da Praça dos Três Poderes no dia 8 de janeiro de 2023.
Segundo a PF, há um mandado de prisão preventiva a ser cumprido em São Paulo e dois no Distrito Federal.
Ésta nova fase da operação Lesa Pátria também cumpre 34 mandados, incluindo a colocação de tornozeleira eletrônica em sete pessoas investigadas.
A Operação Lesa Pátria foi deflagrada há mais de um ano para identificar e investigar envolvidos nos atos considerados golpistas pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal e que depredaram as sedes dos Três Poderes no início do ano passado.
A 25ª fase da Operação Lesa Pátria tem como objetivo identificar pessoas que financiaram e fomentaram os atos e prender três já identificados.
Na capital do país, os empresários Joveci Xavier de Andrade e Adauto Lúcio de Mesquita foram presos. Eles são donos da rede Melhor Atacadista. Jovecir já foi apontado como um dos financiadores do acampamento bolsonarista em frente ao quartel-general do Exército.
Joveci admitiu durante depoimento na CPI da Câmara Legislativa do Distrito Federal (CLDF) ter estado na Esplanada dos Três Poderes no momento dos atos de vandalismo, mas negou ter participado da depredaçãodos prédios.
Os sete que não serão presos agora, mas terão de colocar as tornozeleiras, são do Mato Grosso do Sul (1), Paraná (3), Rio Grande do Sul (1), São Paulo (1) e Minas Gerais (1).
Há, também, 24 mandados de busca e apreensão em Tocantins (8), São Paulo (6), Mato Grosso do Sul (2), Paraná (3), Rio Grande do Sul (1), Minas Gerais (1), Espírito Santo (1) e no Distrito Federal (2).
Ainda de acordo com a PF, a decisão de Alexandre de Moraes também pede o bloqueio de bens dos investigados, para ressarcir o patrimônio público pelos danos dos atos de vandalismo.
A estimativa é de que o prejuízo aos cofres públicos tenha ultrapassado os R$ 40 milhões.
