Embora tenha assinado Ordem Executiva que oficializa a tarifa de 50% a produtos importados do Brasil, o presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, deixou de fora do tarifaço alguns produtos que eram o centro nevrálgico das discussões. Lista publicada pela Casa Branca com diversos itens não serão abrangidos pela ação. Entre eles, está o suco e a polpa da laranja; minérios de ferro; e artigos de aeronaves civis, seus motores, peças e componentes (o que interessa à Embraer). Além de combustíveis.
