Após a condenação de Jair Bolsonaro, o governador de São Paulo declarou: “Pretendo concorrer à reeleição”
O governador de São Paulo Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos), afirmou, nesta quinta-feira (17), que não pretende disputar a eleição presidencial em 2026, mas sim concorrer à reeleição.
“Eu pretendo concorrer à reeleição”, disse Tarcísio durante coletiva em Araçatuba, no interior de São Paulo.
Embora ele já tenha afirmado diversas vezes que seu objetivo é continuar no governo de São Paulo, esta foi a primeira vez em que Tarcísio destacou que não pretende disputar a cadeira no Executivo Federal após a condenação de Jair Bolsonaro (PL) a 27 anos e 3 meses de prisão por decisão da Primeira Turma do Supremo Tribunal Federal, no âmbito da trama golpista.
O governador é um dos principais cotados para ser o indicado de Jair Bolsonaro no pleito de 2026. O aliado do ex-presidente aparece, inclusive, como a maior aposta entre os brasileiros entrevistados pelo levantamento AtlasIntel/Bloomberg divulgado nesta quarta-feira (17).
Para 46,3% dos eleitores de Bolsonaro, Tarcísio de Freitas deveria ser escolhido como candidato à Presidência, caso o ex-mandatário não possa disputar as eleições de 2026, visto que ele já estava inelegível até 2030 por decisão do TSE (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral) e teve a inelegibilidade reiterada após condenação no STF (Supremo Tribunal Federal) por tentativa de golpe de Estado.
Como possível sucessor, o deputado federal Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) aparece na segunda colocação, tendo sido escolhido por 25% dos respondentes. Já a ex-primeira-dama Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) soma 21,5% das respostas.
