Ventos que se formaram por volta das 15h30 se transformaram em um tornado de grande intensidade que atingiu em cheio o município de Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, no Centro-Sul do Paraná, na tarde desta sexta-feira (7).

O fenômenoda natureza deixou cerca de 80% da cidade destruída. O tornado, classificado inicialmente como tornado F2 pelo Simepar, com ventos entre 180 km/h e 250 km/h, pode ser reavaliado para F3 conforme análise em andamento, segundo o órgão meteorológico.

De acordo com o chefe do Núcleo Regional da Defesa Civil Estadual, 5 pessoas morreram e mais de 130 ficaram feridas e foram levadas para hospitais, principalmente em Laranjeiras do Sul.

Equipes da Defesa Civil, Corpo de Bombeiros e Polícia Militar estão mobilizadas para realizar buscas, resgates e prestar atendimento às vítimas. Um hospital de campanha foi montado para lidar com a alta demanda.

O prefeito Sezar Bovino afirmou: “O cenário é de muita destruição. Estamos trabalhando para atender as famílias e organizar o socorro com apoio de todo o Estado.” O governador Ratinho Junior também declarou que a Defesa Civil e as forças de segurança estão em alerta permanente, mobilizadas e acompanhando as cidades atingidas pelas tempestades.

Moradores relataram que o tornado trouxe chuva intensa e granizo, causando destruição de casas, queda de árvores, postes e colapso estrutural em diversas construções. A situação permanece grave e as equipes seguem em busca de eventuais vítimas sob os escombros.

O tornado resultou de uma supercélula, um tipo de tempestade severa, que avançou pelo oeste e sudoeste do Paraná durante a tarde. Além de Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, outras cidades próximas também sofreram com ventos fortes e chuva intensa.

Segundo o governo do Paraná, fortes rajadas de vento e chuvas fortes foram registradas em algumas cidades do estado, causando estragos. Até as 19h, cerca de 60 mil imóveis estavam sem energia, segundo a Copel. As áreas mais afetadas foram as regiões Oeste e Sudoeste.

  • Laranjeiras do Sul: 61,6 km/h às 19h45
  • Londrina: 60,1 km/h às 20h15
