Um boato de que a Porta Santa da Basílica de Aparecida seria fechada na virada do ano tem viralizado na internet e atraído uma multidão para visitar o local nos últimos dias
O Santuário Nacional de Aparecida, maior templo católico do país e que é dedicado à Nossa Senhora Aparecida, a santa Padroeira do Brasil, tem atraído uma multidão de fiéis nas últimas semanas, de pessoas que querem visitar a Porta Santa da Basílica.
O motivo é que um boato circula na internet e tem viralizado entre os católicos, com postagens afirmando que a Porta Santa do Santuário de Aparecida seria fechada na virada do ano e reaberta somente daqui a 25 anos.
A administração do Santuário explicou que a informação é falsa e que a Porta Santa de Aparecida não será fechada.
Devido ao Jubileu da Esperança a Igreja Católica está de fato fechando quatro Portas Santas ao redor do mundo, mas nenhuma delas fica no Brasil. Veja:
- A Porta Santa da Basílica de Santa Maria Maior, também chamada de Santa Maria Maggiore, fica em Roma, na Itália, e foi fechada no dia 25 de dezembro.
- A Porta Santa da Basílica de São João de Latrão, que também fica em Roma, na Itália, foi fechada no dia 27 de dezembro.
- No dia 28 de dezembro, foi fechada a Porta Santa da Basílica de São Paulo Fora dos Muros, em Roma.
- A última Porta Santa a ser fechada será a da Basílica de São Pedro, que fica no Vaticano, no dia 6 de janeiro de 2026, às 9h30, com o rito e a missa presididos diretamente pelo Papa Leão XIV.
Pela crença católica, quem passar pela Porta Santa recebe a indulgência, equivalente ao perdão dos pecados. No entanto, não basta atravessar a porta, é necessário seguir outras diretrizes da religião.
Apesar de ser chamada de Porta Santa, a porta principal da Basílica de Aparecida não faz parte do Jubileu da Esperança, por isso não será fechada por 25 anos. Apenas as quatro portas listadas acima devem permanecer fechadas no período.
“A porta principal do Santuário Nacional não é uma Porta Santa do Jubileu da Esperança e permanecerá aberta, como habitualmente sempre esteve”, informou a administração do Santuário de Aparecida em nota.
Segundo o Santuário Nacional, “o Jubileu da Esperança, convocado pelo Papa Francisco em 2024, para ser vivido ao longo de 2025, previu a abertura de quatro Portas Santas, todas localizadas no Vaticano e em Roma, Itália. A tradição da Igreja Católica faz com que estas portas, localizadas nas Basílicas Papais, sejam abertas apenas a cada 25 anos, na celebração dos Jubileus Ordinários”.
