Presidente perde votação no Conselho Deliberativo e terá futuro discutido entre os sócios; Harry Massis Júnior, de 80 anos, assume o cargo imediatamente
Julio Casares está afastado preventivamente da presidência do São Paulo Futebol Clube. Em reunião híbrida do Conselho Deliberativo nesta sexta-feira, no Morumbis, 188 conselheiros votaram a favor do impeachment do presidente. No total, 223 participaram da votação.
O vice-presidente Harry Massis Júnior, de 80 anos, assume o cargo imediatamente. Ele é empresário do ramo hoteleiro e possui uma rede de estacionamentos na capital paulista.
Derrotado no Conselho, Casares está fora da presidência até que o impeachment seja votado em Assembleia Geral entre os sócios do clube. A votação vai ocorrer em no máximo 30 dias.
A reunião do Conselho Deliberativo nesta sexta-feira (16) aconteceu de forma híbrida por determinação da 3ª Vara Cível do Butantã. A primeira etapa do impeachment de Casares foi aprovada por 188 votos. Eram necessários 170 votos de um total de 254 conselheiros aptos a participar da decisão. 223 se apresentaram para a reunião para votar, 168 de forma presencial e 55 on-line.
Milhares de torcedores estiveram nos arredores do Morumbis para protestar contra Casares.
Julio Casares é investigado por suspeitas relacionadas à exploração clandestina de um camarote no estádio Morumbis, na zona oeste da capital paulista. Segundo o Ministério Público de São Paulo (MPSP), a irregularidade teria acontecido em um camarote ligado à presidência do clube no estádio para o show da cantora colombiana Shakira, em fevereiro de 2025. Os crimes suspeitos levantados pelo MPSP são corrupção privada no esporte e coação no curso do processo.
