Edifício ficava na região central de Beirute, muito movimentada
Um edifício de 16 andares no centro de Beirute, no Líbano, desabou nesta quarta-feira (18) após ser atingido por um míssil.
O edifício ficava no bairro de Bachoura, região também alvejada por Israel na semana passada.
O Exército israelense alegou que o edifício era usado por membros do grupo terrorista Hezbollah. Os ataques aéreos israelenses a Beirute nesta quarta também atingiram os subúrbios do sul da capital libanesa, região controlada pelo Hezbollah.
Um vídeo registrou o momento em que o artefato atinge a base de prédio, causando seu desabamento imediato. O ataque ocorreu nesta manhã, e ainda não havia informações sobre vítimas até a última atualização desta reportagem.
Desde o início da semana passada, Israel vem bombardeando áreas do sul do Líbano e, depois, de Beirute. Os ataques, segundo o governo israelense, têm como alvo integrantes do Hezbollah, o grupo extremista que fundado no Líbano e financiado pelo Irã.
Os ataques ocorrem na esteira da guerra no Oriente Médio, que entrou na terceira semana.
