O ministro do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) Gilmar Mendes pediu oficialmente nesta quarta-feira (15) à Procuradoria-Geral da República (PGR) que investigue o senador Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE) por possível abuso de autoridade.
Segundo Gilmar Mendes, Alessandro Vieira teria incorrido nos crimes ao propor o indiciamento de ministros do STF – incluindo o próprio Gilmar Mendes – por crimes de responsabilidade no relatório final da CPI do Crime Organizado. O texto foi rejeitado pela CPI por 6 votos a 4, apósmanobra do presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
Gilmar Mendes destacou a rejeição do texto pela comissão e a divulgação de nota pelo presidente do STF, Luiz Edson Fachin, que escreveu em solidariedade aos colegas apontados como criminosos pela relatoria da CPI e repudiando o relatório de Vieira.
“O claro desvio de finalidade enveredado pelo relator da CPI do Crime Organizado não encontrou guarida sequer entre os seus pares, que deliberadamente optaram por não aprovar o texto de endereçamento final por ele sugerido”, diz o ofício endereçado ao procurador-geral da República, Paulo Gonet.
