A ata da última reunião do Comitê de Política Monetária (Copom) do Banco Central (foto), divulgada nesta terça-feira (21), derrubou o preço do Dólar no Mercado. A ata prevê o enfraquecimento da atividade econômica nos próximos trimestres como resultado da alta nos juros.
O mercado reagiu às projeções do BC e dólar abriu esta terça-feira (21) em queda frente ao Real. Às 9h52 de hoje, a moeda americana estava sendo cotada a R$ 5,170 para a compra, recuo de 0,29%.
O movimento de queda é atribuído à divulgação da ata do Copom hoje, que indicou a necessidade de manter a Selic, taxa básica de juros da economia brasileira, em nível elevado por período prolongado.
O Copom também estima uma inflação mais elevada no ano que vem, em razão das medidas em discussão para reduzir o preço dos combustíveis.
A reunião da semana passada no Copom aumentou a taxa Selic de 12,75% para 13,25% ao ano, o comitê do BC destacou positivamente indicadores de atividade econômica como o consumo das famílias e os números do mercado de trabalho.
No entanto, o Copom avalia que “a atividade deve desacelerar nos próximos trimestres, quando os impactos defasados da política monetária se fizerem mais presentes”.
Segundo o BC, os dados positivos ainda refletem um processo de normalização da economia no Brasil após a pandemia da Covid —o Copom cita a alta nos serviços e o uso da poupança que havia sido guardada durante o período.
