A CCJ (Comissão de Constituição e Justiça) do Senado aprovou, nesta quarta-feira (22), um projeto de lei que tipifica a misoginia como crime equivalente ao racismo.
De autoria da senadora Ana Paula Lobato (PDT-MA), o projeto define misoginia como a conduta que manifeste ódio ou aversão às mulheres, baseada na crença da supremacia do gênero masculino.
Aprovada em caráter terminativo, por 13 votos a dois, a medida irá direto para a Câmara dos Deputados, caso não haja algum recurso para votação em plenário.
A proposta altera a Lei do Racismo para tipificar a misoginia como crime de discriminação.
“Serão punidos, na forma desta Lei, os crimes resultantes de discriminação ou preconceito de raça, cor, etnia, religião ou procedência nacional, ou praticados em razão de misoginia”, diz o projeto.
Relatora na CCJ, a senadora Soraya Thronicke (Podemos-MS) rejeitou substitutivo da Comissão de Direitos Humanos, por entender que ele reduzia o alcance da proposta ao tratá-la como injúria individual e não como ofensa a um grupo social.
Para a Thronicke, a misoginia deve ser considerada crime coletivo, que atinge todas as mulheres, não apenas vítimas isoladas.
“Sempre tive dificuldade em compreender certas formas de preconceito, mas, depois de estudar o tema e viver isso como parlamentar, percebi o quanto a misoginia está enraizada no cotidiano. Muitas vezes, as pessoas acham que podem se sobrepor a nós, mulheres, apenas pelo fato de sermos mulheres. É por isso que esse projeto é tão necessário”, disse a relatora.
