Em menos de 24 horas, o ministro divulgou três notas para negar ter pressionado o Banco Central a favor do banco que contratou Viviane Barci
O ministro Alexandre de Moraes, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), divulgou uma terceira nota, na tarde desta quarta-feira (24), sobre os encontros entre ele e o presidente do Banco Central (BC), Gabriel Galípolo. O ministro voltou a afirmar que não tratou, em nenhum momento, sobre a situação do Banco Master. Moraes também falou sobre o escritório da esposa, Viviane Barci de Moraes.
“O escritório de advocacia de sua esposa jamais atuou na operação de aquisição Master-BRB perante o Banco Central”, diz o comunicado encaminhado à imprensa, no qual Moraes também corrige datas de reuniões com Galípolo.
Segundo publicou a coluna de Malu Gaspar, do jornal O Globo, o contrato do escritório de advocacia da esposa de Moraes com o Banco Master é de R$ 129 milhões. O montante seria pago em 36 meses, a partir do início de 2024. Ou seja, o banco pagaria por mês R$ 3,6 milhões ao escritório Barci de Moraes Advogados.

O ministro Alexandre de Moraes esclarece que realizou, em seu gabinete, duas reuniões com o presidente do Banco Central para tratar dos efeitos da aplicação da Lei Magnistiky. A primeira, no dia 14/8, após a primeira aplicação da lei, em 30/7; e a segunda no dia 30/9, após a referida lei ter sido aplicada em sua esposa, no dia 22/9.
Em nenhuma das reuniões foi tratado qualquer assunto ou realizada qualquer pressão referente à aquisição do BRB pelo banco Master. Esclarece, ainda, que jamais esteve no Banco Central e que inexistiu qualquer ligação telefônica entre ambos, para esse ou qualquer outro assunto. Por fim, esclarece que o escritório de advocacia de sua esposa jamais atuou na operação de aquisição Master-BRB perante o Banco Central.
Em notas anteriores, Moraes detalhou que houve duas reuniões “para tratar dos efeitos da aplicação da Lei Magnistiky” contra ele. Na ocasião, ele afirmou que primeira reunião, em 14 de agosto, foi um desdobramento da primeira aplicação da lei, em 30 de julho.
O segundo encontro, em 30 de setembro, veio após a sanção aplicada pelos Estados Unidos contra a esposa de Moraes, em 22 de setembro.
A nota de Moraes foi emitida no contexto de reportagem da colunista Malu Gaspar, de O Globo, na segunda-feira (22/12). A jornalista afirmou que o ministro do STF teria procurado Galípolo para tratar do Banco Master.
Segundo a publicação, teriam ocorrido ao menos quatro encontros, nos quais Moraes teria intercedido junto ao presidente do BC em favor da instituição financeira de Daniel Vorcaro. Dos quatro encontros, três teriam sido presenciais e um por telefone.
Moraes citou ainda que, “em virtude da aplicação da Lei Magnitsky”, recebeu para reuniões, no próprio gabinete, o presidente do Banco Central, a presidente do Banco do Brasil e o presidente e o vice-presidente Jurídico do Banco Itaú.
“Além disso, participou de reunião conjunta com os presidentes da Confederação Nacional das Instituições Financeiras, da Febraban, do BTG e os vice-presidentes do Santander e Itaú”, acrescentou.
Segundo a coluna de Mônica Bergamo nesta véspera de Natal (24), as mesmas fontes que relataram pressão de Moraes sobre o Banco Central dizem que o ministro também manifestou interesse junto à PF no andamento das investigações sobre o Master.
