O Plenário do Senado Federal comemorou nesta sexta-feira (24) os 75 anos de criação do Dia Mundial da Ufologia. A sessão contou com especialistas nacionais e internacionais sobre Objetos Voadores Não Identificados(OVNIS) e fenômenos correlatos.
A sessão foi convocada pelo senador Eduardo Girão (Podemos-CE).
Eles confirmaram a existência de vida fora da Terra, citaram casos de aparições não compreendidas e defenderam a abertura de documentos com registros oficiais e extraoficiais.
O jornalista e ufólogo Ademar José Gevaerd disse que o sigilo sobre o tema continua, mas muitas nações já fizeram aberturas parciais, inclusive o Brasil e até o Vaticano. Ele comemorou o fato de o governo brasileiro e a Aeronáutica terem liberado mais de 20 mil páginas de documentos, que atualmente estão no Arquivo Nacional, em Brasília, à disposição de quem tiver interesse.
— A abertura não é completa, mas teve um início muito profícuo, e o que estamos fazendo hoje é parte desse processo. Estamos aqui reunidos, por exemplo, para tratar do assunto no Senado, coisa absolutamente rara. Os documentos já começam a aparecer e são reveladores — afirmou.

O professor e estudioso de ufologia Wilson Picler lembrou que o tema segue desafiando lideranças do planeta e são tratados como segredos de Estado, mas por pressão dos ufólogos e da sociedade, o panorama está mudando.
O convidado citou ainda pesquisa recente com 2 mil brasileiros, mostrando que 32,6% acreditam em vida extraterrestre, um número expressivo, segundo ele, principalmente levando-se em conta que há conceitos religiosos que forçam os cidadãos acreditarem que o ser humano é único. Entre os mais jovens (16 a 24 anos), a percentagem de crentes é ainda maior: 46%.
Quando se faz um recorte por religião, a pesquisa mostrou que os agnósticos são os que mais acreditam: 65%. Seguidos por ateus (61%), espíritas (48%), católicos (30%) e evangélicos (27%).
— Nós não estamos aqui tratando de assuntos que são invenções ou elucubrações sem nenhum fundamento. Todas essas limitações, de que não tem isso, não tem aquilo, de que não seria possível, estão sendo quebradas à medida que as tecnologias avançam — argumentou.
Pretensão
Depois de citar casos de avistamentos no mundo inteiro e de lembrar o grande número de galáxias e planetas existentes, o senador Eduardo Girão (Podemos-CE), autor do requerimento que deu origem à sessão no Plenário, disse que é muita pretensão do ser humano achar que está sozinho no universo.
— Depois que a Nasa colocou em órbita o Hubble, na década de 90, a humanidade precisou rever totalmente a sua perspectiva a respeito do universo. Já nos primeiros dez anos de funcionamento do telescópio, foram fotografadas 30 mil novas galáxias até então desconhecidas, sendo que algumas delas contêm mais de um trilhão de estrelas […]. Esses dados são suficientes para assegurar que estatisticamente é impossível a existência de vida inteligente apenas no planeta Terra, que é um grão de poeira diante da grandeza do universo — disse.
Girão destacou que há um interesse histórico da humanidade na existência de vida em outros planetas e lembrou que o Brasil desponta nesse cenário como a primeira nação a admitir oficialmente que os OVNIs existem de fato e têm procedência extraterrestre. Isso se deu em 1954, após viagem do capitão da Aeronáutica João Adil de Oliveira aos Estados Unidos.
