As contra poliomielite são para crianças menores de cinco anos, mas atualização vacinal é para todos menores de 15 e inclui as vacinas contra doenças como febre amarela, hepatite e pneumonia.

Começaram nesta segunda-feira (8) duas campanhas de vacinação. Uma é contra a poliomielite com foco em crianças menores de 5 anos e outra para atualizar a caderneta vacinal dos menores de 15 contra diversas doenças.

Brasil não atinge metas da vacinação infantil e tem taxas abaixo da média mundial; entenda em 6 gráficos
A iniciativa do Ministério da Saúde visa contornar as baixas taxas de vacinação no país e será realizada até o dia 9 de setembro. Cerca de 40 mil postos de vacinação estarão abertos para aplicar as doses das 18 vacinas previstas pelo calendário nacional para esse público.

Somente no ano passado, as principais vacinas previstas no calendário infantil tiveram índices abaixo de 73%, enquanto a faixa de cobertura recomendada gira em torno de 90% e 95%.

Poliomielite: crianças menores de 5 anos
A campanha nacional contra a pólio busca alcançar crianças menores de 5 anos que ainda não foram vacinadas com as primeiras doses do imunizante (que é aplicado as 2, 4 e 6 meses de idade, via injeção intramuscular) ou que ainda não tomaram as doses de reforço.

ANGRA DOS REIS EM GRANDE ESTILO. VOCÊ MERECE.

Esse reforço, previsto pelo Calendário Nacional de Vacinação, é aplicado aos 15 meses e aos 4 anos de idade. São essas vacinas que são aplicadas via oral. A meta do Ministério é alcançar 95% desse público.

A doença, também chamada de paralisia infantil, tem certificado de erradicação no país desde 1994, mas a baixa cobertura vacinal nos últimos anos preocupa especialistas.

Segundo os últimos dados do Sistema de Informação do Programa Nacional de Imunizações do Ministério da Saúde, a cobertura contra a poliomielite no Brasil não chegou ainda aos 50% do público-alvo neste ano.

No site do Ministério da Saúde, é possível consultar o calendário de vacinação de 2022 bem como a idade de aplicação recomendada para todas as vacinas previstas no Programa Nacional de Imunização (PNI).

A ausência da Caderneta de Vacinação não é um impeditivo para se vacinar. O Ministério orienta a quem perdeu o documento procurar o posto de saúde onde as vacinas foram aplicadas para resgatar o histórico de vacinação e fazer a segunda via.

Multivacinação de crianças e adolescentes
No caso da campanha de multivacinação, o Ministério da Saúde espera atualizar o esquema previsto pelo PNI para crianças e adolescentes menores de 15 anos.

As vacinas que estarão disponíveis nos postos de vacinação são contra a hepatite, pneumonia, rotavírus, febre amarela, sarampo, caxumba, rubéola, varicela, HPV, difteria, meningite, entre outras.

O Ministério da Saúde explica que, para crianças com mais de três anos de idade, esses imunizantes poderão ser administrados de maneira simultânea com a vacina contra a Covid-19 ou durante qualquer intervalo de aplicação.
