Em meio a mais um final de semana recheado de vitórias de atletas brasileiros, o futebol europeu teve a volta de três dos cinco principais campeonatos do velho continente. O domingo também ficou marcado pelo lançamento da nova camisa da seleção brasileira.
DIAMOND LEAGUE
Alisson dos Santos, o Piu, segue voando nos 400m com barreiras. Na etapa de Silésia, na Polônia, logo na primeira competição após ser campeão mundial, Piu cravou 47.81 e venceu ganhou mais uma etapa da Diamond League. Principal esperança de medalhas para o atletismo brasileiro em Paris 2024, Piu segue invicto na competição e venceu todas as cinco etapas que disputou até agora.
Hoje, às 13h30 do horário de Brasília, o brasileiro vai disputar o Grand Prix da Hungria de Atletismo. Porém, dessa vez, ele não vai correr sua tradicional prova, mas sim os 400m rasos, que não contam com barreiras.
Os outros dois brasileiros que também competiram na Diamond League foram Thiago Braz e Vitória Rosa. O campeão olímpico no salto com vara não foi bem no final de semana e não conseguiu saltar a altura inicial e, por isso, ficou sem marca. Já a brasileira, recordista sul-americana dos 200m rasos, ficou com a 7ª posição na final.
MUNDIAL DE CANOAGEM
Com 4 medalhas em jogos olímpicos, o baiano Isaquias Queiroz segue dando show no mundo da canoagem. Dessa vez, o palco foi o mundial da modalidade disputado em Halifax, no Canadá. Isaquias foi ouro no C1 500m e prata no C1 1.000m.
Apesar de não ter sido campeão na prova em que conquistou o ouro em Tóquio 2020, Isaquias comemorou demais o segundo lugar. Em uma prova muito difícil e equilibrada, o brasileiro estava apenas em 5° lugar quando chegou nos últimos 250 m da prova. Empurrado pela torcida brasileira que compareceu ao evento, Isaquias teve grande recuperação e, com muita vontade, remou muito forte para acabar com a prata. Com as duas conquistas, ele chegou a 14ª medalha em mundiais e ao 7° ouro.
Quem também teve boa participação no campeonato foram os brasileiros Erlon Souza e Filipe Vinicius. Apesar de não terem conquistado medalhas, eles chegaram à final do C2 1.000m e ficaram com a 5ª posição.
VOLTA DOS CAMPEONATOS EUROPEUS
Com exceção dos campeonatos italiano e espanhol, a Europa teve a volta das principais competições nacionais de clubes. Na França, ainda sem Mbappé, Neymar e Messi deram show e o PSG passou por cima do Clermont. O jogo acabou 5 a 0 e rendeu a liderança para o time da capital francesa.
Na Inglaterra, quatro dos seis grandes fizeram o dever de casa e venceram na rodada. Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham e Chelsea ganharam na rodada, enquanto o Liverpool empatou e o Manchester United perdeu em casa.
Como era de se esperar, o Bayern começou o campeonato alemão na liderança. A equipe de Munique venceu o Frankfurt por 6 a 1 e já assumiu a liderança. O Borussia Dortmund, principal concorrente dos últimos anos, também venceu, mas não deve ser grande ameaça aos atuais decacampeões consecutivos da Bundesliga.
A La Liga e a Serie A Tim, campeonatos espanhol e italiano, respectivamente, começam neste final de semana, enquanto os outros retornam para a segunda rodada.
CAMPEONATO SUL-AMERICANO DE BASQUETE FEMININO
Em mais uma campanha histórica, a seleção feminina de basquete manteve sua hegemonia e foi campeã sul-americana da modalidade. Foram 5 vitórias, melhor ataque e segunda melhor defesa da fase de grupos, além de contar com três atletas no time ideal da competição e com a MVP (jogadora mais valiosa) do campeonato, a pivô Kamila Cardoso.
Na final, contra a Argentina, as brasileiras deram o troco pela derrota na última edição, em 2018, e se sagraram campeãs pela 27ª vez de 37 edições realizadas. Em jogo decidido no último segundo e no último arremesso, que Tainá converteu, a seleção brasileira venceu as hermanas por 69 a 68 em pleno solo argentino e retomaram a coroa. Vale ressaltar que antes de perder em 2018, o Brasil vinha de 13 conquistas consecutivas.
WTT
Perdendo apenas um game em toda a competição, Hugo Calderano foi campeão do WTT da Tunísia. O mesatenista brasileiro foi dominante e não deu chance para nenhum adversário. A única partida em que não venceu com 100% de aproveitamento foi a final, quando acabou ganhando por 4 a 1.
Atualmente o 6º melhor do mundo pela WTT (o ranking ainda não atualizado após o último campeonato), Hugo é o sul-americano mais bem colocado da história, quando ficou em 3° no início do ano no mesmo ranking, e o único brasileiro a chegar nas quartas de final de olimpíadas.
NOVA CAMISA DA SELEÇÃO
Inspirado em um dos animais símbolos do país, a CBF e a Nike lançaram no domingo, dia 07, o vídeo com as novas camisas do Brasil para a Copa do Mundo do Catar. Ambas as camisas são estampadas com elementos inspirados na pele da onça-pintada. Na amarela, elas não ganham tanto destaque e são mais difíceis de enxergar, mas na azul elas foram detalhadas em um espécie de verde.
O conceito e o animal foram escolhidos para representar a garra, a vibração e a coragem do povo brasileiro que devem servir de inspiração e guia para os jogadores durante a campanha pelo hexa no Catar.
