Mercedes vai reduzir produção e adotar turno único por até 3 meses em SP

Medida passa a valer em maio, resultado de baixa venda no setor de caminhões com reflexos da alta taxa de juros praticada pelo Banco Central

A Mercedes-Benz divulgou aos trabalhadores um boletim em que informa que irá reduzir a produção neste ano e adotar turno único na fábrica de caminhões em São Bernardo do Campo (SP) por um período de dois ou três meses a partir de maio. Entre os motivos, estão a queda da produção, a falta de peças e as altas taxas de juros no país.

“É urgente abrir novas modalidades de financiamento do BNDES e baixar a taxa de juros, que é a segunda maior do mundo, para a retomada do setor. Os juros altos prejudicam o crescimento, impedem a melhoria da produção e a geração de empregos, com efeitos nocivos no setor de caminhões e autopeças”, afirmou o diretor executivo do Sindicato, Aroaldo Oliveira da Silva.

No setor de caminhões, também houve em 2022 a antecipação das compras devido ao Euro 6, que é o conjunto de normas regulamentadoras sobre emissão de poluentes para motores diesel.

“Estamos já em um processo de negociação com a empresa para avaliarmos as medidas possíveis e necessárias. Vamos pensar os próximos passos e as alternativas para atravessar esse período”, confirmou o dirigente.

A montadora já havia anunciado aos trabalhadores férias coletivas para 300 trabalhadores no início deste mês de abril e semanas curtas de trabalho. A Mercedes conta com cerca de 8 mil trabalhadores em sua totalidade, deste 6 mil na produção. Sendo, 2 mil na produção no segundo turno.

Taxa de juros 

Com a taxa de juros mantida em 13,75% pelo Copom (Comitê de Política Monetária) do Banco Central, medida criticada pelo presidente da República, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, os financiamentos ficam mais caros, o crédito mais difícil e os investimentos no país ficam travados.

De acordo com a Anef (Associação Nacional das Empresas Financeiras das Montadoras), a taxa de juros no mercado para aquisição de veículos ao ano chegou a 28,71% em dezembro de 2022. Em caminhões e ônibus, houve a redução da participação do BNDES Finame e aumento dos financiamentos de mercado.

Em 2016, o Finame era responsável por 62% entre as modalidades de pagamento. No 3º trimestre de 2022, 28%. Já os financiamentos saíram de 17%, em 2016, para 40% no período, segundo dados da Anef, com elaboração da Subseção do Dieese dos Metalúrgicos do ABC.
