Um grave acidente envolvendo um ônibus de turismo ocorreu na noite de sexta-feira (17), na rodovia BR-423, no trecho entre os municípios de Paranatama e Saloá, no Agreste de Pernambuco.
A colisão resultou em pelo menos 15 mortos e dezenas de feridos, mobilizando equipes de resgate e autoridades locais.
Segundo informações da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), o ônibus, que transportava mais de 30 passageiros, tombou após o motorista perder o controle do veículo por volta das 19h45 no quilômetro 126,9, em uma curva conhecida como Serra dos Ventos.
De acordo com a PRF, o ônibus invadiu a contramão, colidiu contra rochas às margens da rodovia, retornou para a pista, atingiu um barranco de areia e tombou.
O veículo fretado saiu de Brumado (BA) e fazia viagem para o Polo de Confecções de Santa Cruz do Capibaribe (PE), retornando à Bahia quando ocorreu o acidente. O ônibus havia sido autorizado para o fretamento e possuía termo válido para o transporte.
Entre as vítimas fatais, estão 11 mulheres e 4 homens. Os feridos foram encaminhados para hospitais da região de Paranatama, Iati e Garanhuns, com diferentes níveis de gravidade, incluindo casos críticos.
O motorista sofreu ferimentos leves, realizou o teste do bafômetro com resultado negativo e prestou depoimento na Delegacia de Polícia Civil de Garanhuns.
Imagens do local mostram o ônibus tombado na pista e ambulâncias chegando com urgência para socorrer os feridos. Alguns passageiros foram arremessados para fora do veículo, o que sugere que não utilizavam cinto de segurança, fato que poderá ser investigado.
Equipes da Polícia Rodoviária Federal, Polícia Militar, Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu), Corpo de Bombeiros, Instituto de Criminalística (IC) e Instituto Médico Legal (IML) estiveram envolvidos no atendimento, resgate e perícia no local.
A rodovia ficou interditada das 19h45 até as 4h da manhã de hoje para garantir o atendimento das vítimas e remoção dos veículos. Um inquérito foi aberto para apurar as causas do acidente, as responsabilidades e eventuais falhas na condução do ônibus.
O acidente é uma das maiores tragédias rodoviárias deste ano no estado de Pernambuco, reacendendo debates sobre a segurança em estradas estaduais e federais, fiscalização de veículos fretados e uso de itens de segurança pelos passageiros.
Autoridades de trânsito e transporte afirmaram que manterão rigor na análise de normas para prevenir novas tragédias.O momento é de luto e solidariedade às famílias das vítimas, que sofreram perda irreparável, e de atenção aos sobreviventes que passam por tratamento médico e psicológico.
