Motociclista morreu por asfixia e insuficiência respiratória depois de inalar gás lançado no cubículo pelos agentes
Quatro meses após a morte de Genivaldo Santos, de 38 anos, durante abordagem de policiais rodoviários, a Polícia Federal em Sergipe informou nesta segunda-feira (26), que concluiu o laudo final do caso e indiciou três policiais rodoviários federais por abuso de autoridade e homicídio qualificado (asfixia e sem meios de defesa). O relatório foi encaminhado ao Ministério Público Federal, que é responsável por apresentar a denúncia à Justiça.
“Esperamos que seja realmente cumprido. Estamos lutando por justiça, sabemos que não vai trazer a vida dele de volta, mas lutamos para não acontecer com outras pessoas e que outras famílias não passem por essa dor”, disse o sobrinho da vítima, Walisson de Jesus Santos, após ser informado sobre o resultado do relatório.
Genivaldo morreu em maio, depois de ter sido trancado no porta-malas de uma viatura da PRF e submetido a inalação de gás lacrimogêneo, na BR-101 no município de Umbaúba. A certidão de óbito concedida pelo IML à família no dia seguinte à morte apontava asfixia e insuficiência respiratória.
Os peritos do Instituto de Criminalística de Sergipe concluíram que a asfixia mecânica foi provocada por um componente químico na corrente sanguínea. No entanto, não ficou atestado qual a substância foi inalada durante a abordagem.
Durante o trabalho dos peritos, foram produzidos três laudos que se complementam. O toxicológico, que indica quais substâncias estavam na corrente sanguínea da vítima e o cadavérico, realizado a partir da necropsia. Além do anatomopatológico, onde amostras de tecidos, como do pulmão por exemplo, foram analisadas em laboratório, para avaliar as células.
Kleber Nascimento Freitas, Paulo Rodolpho Lima Nascimento e William de Barros Noia foram citados pelo Fantástico, como sendo os responsáveis pela ação que resultou na morte do sergipano.
Os agentes envolvidos diretamente na abordagem foram afastados das funções pela PRF, que afirmou que não compactua com as medidas adotadas pelos policiais durante a abordagem.
Os policiais já haviam admitido que usaram spray de pimenta e gás lacrimogêneo dentro da viatura. Os três agentes já prestaram depoimento à Polícia Federal, além de outros dois agentes que assinaram o boletim de ocorrência, mas não participaram da ação.
