Do início da pandemia, até quarta-feira (1º), 11.692 pessoas perderam a vida em Brasília e 712.968 foram infectadas pelo coronavírus. Nesta semana, escolas particulares chegaram a afastar turmas por causa do aumento de casos nos colégios.
Infectologistas dizem que são diversos os fatores que justificam o salto nas taxas de transmissão. O relaxamento em relação às medidas de proteção é um deles, além da própria evolução do vírus.
A taxa de transmissão da doença está em 1,47, valor acima do recomendado pela Organização Mundial da Saúde, que é abaixo de 1.
